Day 01/ Delhi – Manali by Overnight Volvo Bus (570Kms / Approx 14 hrs)
Meet Delhi ISBT and board your bus to Manali. Enjoy your overnight travel by a/c Sami sleeper Volvo Bus.
Day 02/ In Manali Local Sightseeing
In the Morning, you will reach Manali & transfer to you hotel. Afternoon Manali sightseeing visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, Club House, Tibetan Monastery and Vashisht Village, Van Vihar. In evening free to stroll on Mall Road. Overnight stay at Manali.
Day 03/ Manali – Jispa (140 Kms / Approx 6 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive from Manali to Jispa, a name that only a few would know of. It is a quiet little village located on the Manali Leh route and mostly acts as a stopover for people traveling to Ladakh. In and around Jispa Village are some of the best views that you can get on the Leh highway as well as in the Lahaul Valley. Overnight stay at Jispa
Day 04/ Jispa – Leh (335 Kms / Approx 12 hrs)
Early morning after breakfast drive from Jispa to Leh, is in the Indus river valley, at a crossroads of the old trading routes from Xinjiang, Tibet and Kashmir. There is a pass that links it directly to Khotan. The city's importance as a trading town slowed down with the partition of British India, and ended with the closure of the border in 1962 during the Sino-Indian war. Since opening to tourists in 1974, it has become a bustling tourist town, with many Kashmiri traders. Since 2000, Indian tourists have been visiting Ladakh, with a dramatic increase in 2010 after the film Three Idiots. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 05/ Leh Palace – Shey Palace -Thickey Moneastry - Stanti Stupa:
Shey Palace: Was built by Deldan Namgyal in the beginning of 17th century AD. The main image inn the monastery is three story statue of Buddha Shakamuni, made of copper gilt which was made by Deldan Namgyal in the memory of his father Singay Namgyal. The statue is the only of its kind in the region. Thiksey Monastery: The most beautifully in all the monasteries in Ladakh, belongs to the Gelukspa order.
Shanti Stupa:The next destination is the white-domed chorten known as Shanti Stupa Japanese monks at the summit of a rocky peak constructed the monument and it is the best place in Leh for sunset. From here, you can contemplate magnificent views of the whole of city and the surrounding villages. After sunset, go back down to the city centre and spend some time in the Main Bazar, a bustling market where women in traditional Ladakhi dress sell fruits and vegetable Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 06/ Leh – Nubra Valley Over Khardungla Pass 5600m, 18380 Ft. (150 Kms / Approx 6 hrs)
Today we proceed to Nubra valley is a part of the old Silk Road to Central Asia. The valley connected eastern Tibet with Turkistan through the Karakoram Pass. Nubra valley is known for its centuries-old gompas, hot sulphur springs, high-altitude sand dunes, double-humped Bactrian camels and a unique amalgamation of mountains, rivers and deserts. The Karakoram mountain range and the valley combine to create a fantastic desert landscape and fertile fields. Nubra is known as Ldumra, meaning “valley of flowers” in Ladakhi language. Nubra is also the gateway to Siachen glacier, the highest and coldest battlefield in the world at an altitude of almost 6,000 metres where the temperature falls below minus 60 degrees in the winter. Tourists need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter Nubra valley. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.
Day 07/ Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake (150 Kms / Approx 6 hrs)
Morning after early breakfast drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong via Shayok. Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. You could spend some time here in contemplation here, and still not have enough of its beauty. Pangong Lake is also known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times. Day 08/ Pangong Lake – Leh (150 Kms / Approx 6 hrs)
Morning after early breakfast drive from Pangong Lake to Leh. Upon arrival at Leh check in hotel. Evening free for your own to explore local market. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 09/ Leh – Magnetic Hill - Confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers - Lamayuru Monastery - Kargil (220 Kms / Approx 5-6 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive from Leh to Kargil which is in Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir of India.
Magnetic Hill: A half-an-hour drive from Leh brings you to the strange Magnetic Hill where you can see the car with engine turned off and in neutral starting moving uphill against gravity, To understand what’s really going on, don’t forget to bring a spirit level. A few kilometres further on the Leh-Srinagar highway, you arrive at the famous photo spot of Sangam, the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers.
Lamayuru Monastery: Lamayuru or Yuru Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Lamayouro, Leh district, Ladakh, India. It is situated on the Srinagar-Leh highway 15 kilometres east of the Fotu La at a height of 3,510 metres.
It is an important transit hub of Ladakh with roads leading from here to Leh-Srinagar and Padum in Zanskar. The unofficial capital of Muslim Ladakh and capital of the Kargil district. It is still a small town while interesting in many ways due to its historic position on the caravan routes nothing of this is visible to the casual visitor. It is notorious with travellers as a necessary stop between Central Ladakh, Zangskar and Kashmir. It is now famous due to the Kargil Conflict when the town and surrounding areas was shelled by Pakistani based militants. Overnight stay at Kargil.
Day 10/ Kargil - Zojila Pass - Sonmarg – Srinagar (200 Kms / Approx 5-6 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive from Leh to Srinagar the capital city of Jammu & Kashmir is situated at an altitude of 1,730 mts. In the heart of the Kashmir valley. Srinagar spreads out on both sides of the Jhelum River. The valley's beauty has enticed visitors from distant lands. Srinagar bears the hallmark of the Mughal, dry fruits and the traditional Kashmiri handicrafts are the other major attractions of the city. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 11/ In Srinagar Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast proceed to visit Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal Kin King Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jahan or (Mehr-un-Nissa). The garden is considered the high point of MuMughal horticulture. It is now a public park. This time it's also called as crown of Srinagar.Nishat Garden known as ‘Garden of of pleasure’ built in 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake,. It is the second largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley. The largest in size is the Shalimar BagBagh, which is also located on the bank of the Dal Lake. ‘Nishat Bagh’ is Urdu, which means "Garden of Joy," "Garden of Glagladness" and "Garden of Delight.
